The ZERO Prostate Cancer Advocacy Summit is the biggest and most impactful meeting in the movement to end prostate cancer. Held annually in Washington, D.C., it is all about fighting for change for the prostate cancer community.
I had the opportunity to attend the summit last year. This year four of our PCA for Life officers are attending.
We (Dave, Jesus, Martina, David) cherish the opportunity to do our part with advocacy at the national level for prostate cancer. It is so important to advocate this year since there have been cutbacks for many health-related programs. You never give up. In the battle against cancer, you may take two steps back, but you continue to go forward, because you have the same goal to win the battle against cancer.
Over the days prior to going to the summit, we will attend the Zoom meetings with ZERO Prostate Cancer. We are well prepared to meet with the politicians on Capitol Hill.
We engage with elected officials to make prostate cancer a national priority. We can help protect and expand billions of dollars in crucial research funding, break down barriers to testing, improve access and quality of care, protect Veterans and other high-risk men, and expand awareness that saves lives in your local community.
